OCD and I did the first workout on the half marathon training calendar this morning at Lakes Park. 4 x 400m with 4 minute rest between, max effort. Of course while we were blasting through the last sprint, some folks on bikes rode by and one gentleman wanted to engage in conversation. At the end, he stopped and asked questions as we were gasping to catch our breath. He said he did a half once and trained doing long distances. We explained our methods, he seemed intrigued then rode off into the sunrise.

OCD and I are planning on doing the 5K time trial Friday evening since there is a Hero WOD on Saturday. We'll either skip the WOD on Friday or do it in the AM. I don't want to shift any of the current week's scheduled CFE's to a Sunday as that will make 4 for the next week!! Yikes!
I am going to concentrate on eating well, keeping the cheats to a minimum, trying to get more sleep, and hopefully avoiding any further injuries. The foot is still sore but manageable, I had no idea these darned things took so long to resolve.
I am looking forward to monitoring our progress these next few months!
