64 Days to Half, 111 to Ragnar

Yikes, just 2 months to the half marathon! I've been keeping up with the CFE's until this week, missed the 3 minutes on, 3 minutes off x's 6. I might make it up tomorrow.

Last week: 10 x 100 on the minute; time between :22 and :25. Did them down by the river near Jane's house, beautiful! Lots of people walking their dogs and enjoying the view, of course some want to talk while we were catching our breath between sprints!
9 minute time trial; 1.06 miles with average pace of 8:30.

This week: 1 minute on, 1 minute off back at the river with Jane and Kristin. Distance from 209 to 241 meters with an average of 225 meters.

Did the 30 minute tempo at 85% this morning with Kate, Jane, and MK. Kate and I both on the "injured" list, Kate's knee bothering her and my ankle is wrapped. She reminded me that we are getting older (thanks for the reminder!) but that we do this so we don't look our age. Kate stayed with me and probably ran at 50% to my 85-90% and we did 3.05 miles with an average pace of 9:50. MK and Jane were right behind us. Love doing CFE's with good company!

Diet pretty good except for a couple of days this past week due to meetings and less-than-optimal food. I had to cut a WOD short on Thursday, could only manage 3 rounds of "Kelly". But, yesterday set a PR for the bench press with 73 pounds, and FINALLY did handstand holds!!!!! Still needed help getting up on the wall, but did 4 with times of 25 seconds, 1 minute, 50 seconds, and 1 minute. Now that I know I can hold myself up, maybe I'll be able to put myself on the wall.

  1. Was so good to run with you yesterday. I hope your ankle is feeling my better... I think my knee is about recovered... did a WOD today and it didn't bother me at all :)
