32 Days to Half, 79 to Ragnar

In the past 12 days, I have felt pretty good with the WOD's and CFE's. This week we did the 5RM deadlift, I hadn't done it since May and did 148# then and barely managed it. Lifted 153 this week and it felt pretty darned good. Used the opposing grip this time so the bar didn't slip away.

MK, Sarina, Monica, her friend Kayla, and I ran the Sanibel 10K Saturday. Since a 10K at 90% was on the training schedule, seemed like a good opportunity. I was shooting for a pace of around 9:30 and finished at 9:14 and total time of 57:15. There is a 5K time trial next week which a bunch of us will probably do at the "Cops and Joggers" 5K, then an 8.5 mile tempo the following weekend. We're thinking of making it an early morning trail run at Caloosahatchee Regional Park north of the river on 78. I estimated the distance on a map of the trails and a couple of loops around the park on the south side of 78 should do the trick.

Nutrition pretty good. I have bumped up the protein some, especially on days with both a WOD and CFE. All in all feeling great and looking forward to the challenge of the half marathon!
